Happy Easter Sunday!
I would like to review Ultimate Candida Complex that was sent to me for review purposes.
- Biotin 2,000 mcg (667% daily value. is biotin supposed to be good for candida!? I had no idea..)
- Magnesium 45 mg (or 11% of daily value, so minor amount. I recently bought 250mg magnesium tablets as I was told it helps with muscle cramps).
- Black Walnut (hull) 300mg (according to webmd.com, black walnut is used to treat parasitic worm infections)
- Oregano oil powder 200mg (oregano oil is strong anti-parasitic. So glad to hear this ingredient is in this mix, as oregano oil is sooo strong I had hard time incorporating into my routine)
- Olive leaf
- Cat's Claw root
- Wormwood herb
- Magnesium stearate
- Cellulose powder.
I began taking this on March 23rd, so it has been about 12 days now. For the first 4 days or so, I was only taking 2 capsules once a day, but I read it closely and I am supposed to take them twice a day. So 4 capsules a day. The bottle is good for 22 1/2 days.
As in any and all supplements, it's so hard to pin point if it is working or not, especially I take other supplements (multi-vitamin, Calcium + Vitamin D tablets, Vitamin C tablets, Omega 3 fish oil, Milk thistle, and now magnesium). I also drink roasted dandelion detox tea at work. I can't open my intestines and ask "hey, candida, are you guys gone now?" Candida is a cause of major health issues, often underlying various health issues. I want them to go away, if I have it.
My digestion has improved over the last 2 weeks I feel.. although I can't pinpoint to any one item.
For the Candida Complex, one thing I like is that it's vegan, it doesn't make me sick or make me want to go to bathroom all the time. The company is also based in Oregon, and I like supporting local companies.
Again, I can't really attribute to one source... I also see an acupuncturist during spring each year. One thing I am very very happy about is that I had a very easy spring as far as allergies go. No itchy eyes, no runny nose, no sneezing. NO MEDICATIONS. I do wake up a little stuffed up each morning, but that's pretty much it!! In comparison with past years, it's like I went back to years when I never had allergies!!! YAY!!
I think I am finding out how important detoxing is for allergies because it is your body's reaction to something that doesn't work for your body. If your kidney can flush out these allergens swiftly, you may not have as big of a problem. If your intestines doesn't have to fight candida, it can do what it is supposed to do better (absorb nutrients so that all your body parts can function properly). Anything to help in that, may be worthwhile to you.
So back to Ultimate candida complex, I think it may be working for me (again, it's so hard to say). It's worth a try! As to aforementioned Oregano Oil also made by the same company, I actually made a very good lotion mixed with natural lotion with a little bit of peppermint oil, Vitamin E Oil, and very very tiny amount of Oregano oil. Key is to use very sparingly, and if the scent is bothering you, try mixing with peppermint.
Thank you for reading :)
