Project Pan. You know the concept. You will promise that you won't buy new cosmetics until you hit xx (insert a number) of pans." Hitting a pan is cosmetic term for finishing a beauty product.
I am fascinated by the idea, but very intimidated by it as well. I love cosmetics and have a lot of items, but I am a very light user. Case to a point, I don't think I have ever hit a pan of anything. I have never finished a lipstick, eye shadows, blushes, foundations, really .... My cosmetics die of old age rather than being consumed. I kinda feel sorry for them.
Yet this idea.
I do like an idea of using what I have rather than forever succumbing into temptation of new magic products and sexy packages.
So I am doing it my style.
Firstly, no commitments. Christmas sales are on, and I am not a saint. But I will be more conscious of my stash. To get ready, I have organized my frightening shelf so that I know how much I already have.
Secondly, I will start small. I mean, really small. I will tackle foil packs first. I used to save them for traveling, but now I do empties log once a month so keeping these empty sticky packets no longer serves me. Once they are gone, then on to larger samples and items already open. If something is open, I won't open a new one.
So that's it. Thus far, I cleaned up 4 foils, so right on track. Wish me luck!!
Project pan-ish, day 1. Went to Ulta store right after they started Thier Christmas sale, with a coupon in my bag. I don't need anything, I don't need anything.... And I walk (okay, ran) away without opening my wallet. Calling this a success of the day.
