As I mentioned candle review YouTubers on my other empties, perhaps I will mention several beauty YouTubers I enjoy watching, although there are way too many to mention... Jessica @ JAMBeauty89 and Tati @glamlifeguru are both amazingly sincere, honest and informative. Thank you so much for awesome recommendations, and I think both of you are great! I also like MakeupGeek, Melissa Parada, youngwildandpolished, themissalliecakes, and Claire Marshall's channels and watch them from time to time. (If I don't mention your name, I am sure I am watching you.... keep up a good work!)
This month, you see I finished omega 3. I was taking magnesium to help with inflammation in my foot (plantar fasciitis and heel spur, could not tell improvement) and probiotics. As you can see I am not brand specific on vitamins. I will keep on taking fish oil and probiotics, but probably not repurchase magnesium.
Repurchase? No. While I love the scent, both uses tons of chemical ingredients so I probably won't seek them out. I already have severe addiction to BBW so I feel that's enough chemicals. Really liked them though.
- instanatural keratin hair conditioner and mask. This works really well, and it's full of natural ingredients I love. The scent is similar to salon products which I don't care for. This product was sent to me for a review, and I liked enough to use it all up!
Would I repurchase? No, because they also sell an argon oil hair mask with a red label- I like that scent better, so will purchase the red label. I think it's about $20 on Amazon , well worth it.
-gioje keratin hair mask- this was in an ipsy bag I think, and I probably wouldn't have used it if I saw the ingredients list. First two ingredients are cetyl alcohol and petroleum. It smells bad, has weird neon blue color, One upside: it does work on my flyaways As there are better alternatives, I won't buy full size of this.
For packaging, I prefer the tube rather than the tub, too... For easy dispensing. Just saying. I hear so many good things about Aussie Three minute miracle, so I will try that one after using up Giovanni hair mask I am currently using. Both are in tubes, which I prefer.
Estee Lauder Modern Muse eau de parfum, this was gentle and flowery, I received compliments on while wearing this. Smells like rose, jasmine and other fresh floral scents.
Purchase full size? No, I like this scent, but prefer citrus/green notes in general (besides I don't use perfume enough to finish anything ever.)
Joie - folle de joie eau de parfam (the white bottle on the right) Similar to the note above, smells like citrus, rose and jasmine, but much lighter and doesn't linger - it's perfect for those who doesn't like strong scents. I think I received this in Birchbox some time ago. While I enjoyed it, I think I remember $95 for full size price tag. If I am going to spend $95, I prefer to be able to smell it. This one is hardly noticeable, even for me who is a fan of light scents.
Bath and Body Works "Salted Caramel" Pocket Bac.
Price - $1.75
This was from Christmas 2014 release, and I came in to BBW game about that time. These are very sweet, caramel scent. I liked this a lot, but my boyfriend is not a big fan of sweet bakery scent at all.
Would I repurchase? YES. Just for me.
BBW incidentally did not come back with this this year (thus far). From last year, I have one bottle of hand soap left, which I may bring out despite much protest from my boyfriend.... Like anything, he wins some and loses some.
As you can see this was well loved - It made my lashes stand out, pretty large wand...
Price: $26 at department stores.
Colors - it has two shades, extreme black and extreme brown. My sample was in black.
I liked it, but then I actually like most mascaras - I probably have over 10 mascaras in my inventory, so won't go repurchase this now. It's pretty good though, and I have nothing bad to say about this.
I had a practically free coupon for Clearasil products, and this is what I picked.
I think it's about $7 at drugstore.
It has 2% salicylic acid, soaked with alcohol in pads. It stings your skin and then dry it out.
" visibly reduces pimple size and redness in as fast as 4 hours" promise was not true to me.
I find teatree oil working much better.
If you would like salicylic acid for your acne treatment, here is what you can do really cheap.
Crash one or two tablets of aspirin, dissolve it in water or toner of your choice. apply it on your problem area with a Qtip. As the main ingredient of asprin is salicylic acid, it works just as well as this, minus stingy alcohol. I have used several pads to try this out, and have to throw this out. Would I Repurchase? NO.
Orange cleansing soap was very mild, gentle cleanser.
Would I repurchase? No. This may be a bit mean thing to say, but unfortunately there is absolutely no brand appeal for me - I find their packaging very boring and cheap. As an artist I am very visual. It worked fine though.
On the other hand - "Strawberry face scrub." - I hated this thing. Luckily the container was very small and there was less than several use in it. It smelled really chemically, had weird bits like strawberry seeds inside which felt weird on my face. Definite NO on this one.
This was great for hiking or to put in my carry-on. I am someone who would always be covered in sunscreen - this one is non-greasy, non-sticky, doesn't smell strongly of coconut. I liked it.
Repurchase? Maybe, nowadays there are a lot of options with SPF 50 or higher - this one wasn't bad, but I am always on a look out for a next best thing.
BBW Ranting aside, this one was pretty good, predominant scent is magnolia for sure, and very little citrus. I liked it fine. No longer sold though.
This was a cult favorite from last year's Memebox.
It has a very light gel like texture with pleasant light floral scent that is in many Asian cosmetics. Pleasant to use, no effect on my skin. Maybe this is fine if you are young and have no major skin concerns. I personally need more help unfortunately.
Benton Honest Cleansing Foam. Nice cleanser but PH is higher than I like- will not purchase full size (actually I did before trying this, but will not buy another).
Organic Pharmacy Manuka anti- blemish face cream. Smelled chemically and did nothing. Didn't like this.
Lancôme high resolution eye refill 3x- I LOVED this eye cream! I actually could feel skin around my eyes soften, really lovely cream. I think the full size is pricy though..... But still would consider buying it.
- Stretching (especially calves and back of my legs, in addition to my feet)
- Resting my foot
- some foot insole, Dr. Scholls were cheaper drug store alternative, $10 worked better for me than Smartfeet.
What didn't work:
- taking magnesium supplement
- Smartfeet insoles
- Ignoring pain and overworking it
Anyhow, these are all I have this month! I am happy to tossing them :) Next month, I hope to empty another serum from Korea, and maybe a moisturizer as well as an eye cream. I have tried tons of eye creams as of late, I must say Lancome's eye cream is really good, as well as Clinique's All About Eyes are my favorite department store eye creams. Off department store, if you like gels, I love Instanatural's eye gel - much cheaper alternative plus full of natural ingredients.
I love watching empties on YouTube - so let me know if you made one this season!
Have a great November!
