Step 1. Heat. There is more sting than heat actually. After initial stingy-ness, it quickly go away (I might not have put enough and maybe that might be the reason). The heat is from peppermint oil. Texture is similar to lotion except there are tiny grains in it. This step wasn't painful or pleasurable or anything like that... After leaving it on your face for 10-20 minutes, this supposed to peel off, except mine was more like flake off (this could be due to thin application). I rubbed my face to flake it off, and my face turned red from pressure, as the label suggest....
Step 2. Cool. This was a cool part, like spreading toothpaste on your face, only thinner. This one has tea tree oil. texture is of mud mask, and usage is also similar to mud mask. Wait. wash off. Maybe because of oil content, it feels there is residue after washing step 2. My face feels clean and smooth, but not too dried out.
Step 3. Mist. I LOVE mists, and this is no exception. It has peppermint and witchhazel. I added this to my collection in my fridge for future use.
Overall, there is nothing specially bad or good to this set. Only one I didn't care about was step 1.
Downside: I can't find it in the Meme store. Boo.
There are a lot of cleansers in this box, all full sized. I probably need to stop lusting after "cleanse and tone" box, but I am such a sucker for skincare products.... so of course I want it !
As to the value, retail contents of the box is $171. Eusay value (that's how much I might pay for) would be about $50, not knowing how some of the items work up front. It was sold for $39+ $7 s/h, so I feel it was worthwhile for me. I also knew what was in this box ahead of time, so no big surprises, just excitement of using new products!
I never imagined I would be hooked on Memebox like this- pretty crazy. I will just see where this journey takes me!
