Alright, I am slowly getting back on track. This is my empties from June 5th to July 3rd.
So I didn't finish as many as in the past, but I finished up some full size items I have been using- so overall I am very satisfied by this month.
Let's start with non- beauty items first: I include them because I believe beauty begins inside. I also focused more on health as I was running a half marathon in June.
Here is my favorite sweet snack: Kind bar in "dark chocolate and sea salt." I bought a box and ate them all in a month. It's low in sugar, all natural, non- GMO and gruten free. Perfect.
I also finished Yogi roasted dandelion spice detox tea. I drink detox tea to help get rid of toxins, especially in spring to help with my seasonal allergies. While I LOVE Yogi teas especially because they are made in Oregon, yogi's detox tea is a bit strong in flavor as well as need to hit the bathroom. I prefer KissMe Organics dandelion detox tea better as they are much gentler both in flavor as well as my digestion. I pictured both below.
Speaking of tummy, I have been taking probiotics to help increase good tummy bacteria. This one by Body works was just okay... Really didn't see much difference, which is so hard on supplements because results are often very obvious. I am taking a little time off probiotics to see if I would feel any different being off it.
I would like to note I didn't finish all these in just a month. Some I begin taking loooong time ago, and finishing now. One such item is this humongous Vitamin C. Finally done!!
And this I take for calcium. Not bad but I definitely prefer "cookies and cream" flavor.
I have only one small candle finished, which is a small sized bath and body works "Honolulu Sun." It smells like coconut and musk. To be honest I can't stand this scent- but I buy these because I love the container. I recycle to use unscented votive candles.
And here is an item that has nothing to do with beauty- but I am very much into stationary, and it takes long to finish a pen!! One of my favorite is Pilot Frixon which has eraceable ink. I love them! Bought in Japan, one may buy them off Amazon ;-) Already bought tons of them.
Alright, next item is hair sample- I just used a couple of hair samples this month (otherwise using full sized products). L'Oreal smooth intense ultimate straight products. There are two step conditioners- use one, wait a minute, then apply another, leave for another 1-3 minutes before rinsing. They actually help with frizz and make my hair straighter without weighing down- however, having another step seems like some advertising gimmick to sell more products. I think I will stick with hair masks which works just as well and with better ingredients.
Here is Hairkop's moisturizing treatment cream- I think I got this from a Birchbo- this was very nice! Gentle and moisturizing without heavy scent. I will put this on my favorite list, and would consider purchasing a full size.
Here was a nice sample from Living Proof- I liked a small pump which was great for traveling. As to the product itself, I didn't care for perfume-like scent and it really didn't control frizz either. Felt sticky as well, and wouldn't purchase a full size.
Alright, on to skincare- Two sheet masks - étude house Pearl and innisfree skin solution mask "moisturizing." They were good, but nothing all that exciting. In summer, I keep them in the fridge to cool down ;-)
Ah, here is the item I really wanted to use up- I have used this since last December. It took me longer because I had other products sent to me for reviews and I was also traveling. Anyhow, Yadah anti trouble bubble cleanser 150ml. I got this from Memebox- it is PH balanced, with slightly green note, supposedly with great ingredients and overall good cleanser- already have another one, and would use it after I finish with 5 other cleansers already open.
And here is another one I really really wanted to use up. Radha Beauty Skin Clearing Serum, 30ml. This has tons of great ingredients and not sticky to my face, which I liked. It also has ylang ylang oil, lavender oil, and tea tree oil- and I happen to dislike all three scents. When I reviewed the product with my honest opinion, the company wrote me a rather curt email ...... Which I felt unfair given my position as an independent reviewer. I have several of their products to use up still, but overall no longer a fan of this company.
I also finished Radha Beauty retinal moisturizer, 30 ml. I use this in the evening only, and this one lasted me about 4 months (I was also trying other moisturizers and traveling, so if I am using this it exclusively, it would last probably about 2 months). I really like this product- no scent, white cream that aren't too thick or sticky. Would I repurchase? I would have, but please read above.... After that incident, no. I just don't believe in supporting such companies.
Speaking of moisturizer, I tried a sample of Laneige water bank moisture cream. This was just okay- nothing notable.
I also tried Laneige BB cushion SPF 50 and really like this! It blurs my pores, and really like sunscreen coverage. Would buy this (again after using what I already have...)
Another good sample I tried was Maybelline Fit Me matte + poreless foundation in 220 natural beige. Not too heavy coverage, wears comfortably. I am putting this on my shopping list as well.
This one was "meh" in my opinion- AHC Whitening Cream with SPF 35++. Honestly I used this just as a sunblock, bs as such it was fine- not heavy and unscented, spreads out evenly. Would not repurchase. I got this from Memebox.
Speaking of meh....: this clothing wipe had nothing notable. Wouldn't buy full size.
Keratin Florian's correcting multi- vitamin day creamer SPF 30. It had a slight clean scent and spreads easily, not greasy- but didn't feel as though I have to have this in my life.
Innisfree wine peeling jelly softener. This was interesting product- it flakes off rather than peeling, leaving skin soft.... I like the effect but didn't care for the scent now the messy flaking off part. Will it buy a full size as I believe that there would be more suitable products for me out there.
Lancôme renergie lift multi- action eye. This was a very nice rich but not sticky eye cream. I really liked this cream. Will I purchase a full size? Maybe.
Ole henriksen lemon strip flash peel. This tiny jar lasted me several uses- be aware: if you have any open skin, it would burn. It smells nice and leave your skin very smooth. I liked it- would I purchase a full size? Probably not, because I prefer milder masks.
Lastly, I had a sample of Caudalie vinoperfect radiance serum. This one was not sticky, white colored, beautiful serum. I am a fan.
Overall, I feel as though I had a very successful month with several items to add to my "to buy" list. I have a few more items I hope to finish next month (oil cleanser and an astringent gel), so looking forward to that- wishing everyone great Independence Day! May everyone have freedom of speech!
