While all the red and pink and hearts and roses are cute to the annoying point, let's think a minute.
I don't know who Valentine is.
If you really love someone, you don't need a special day to remember your love.
Everyday should be Valentine's Day.
You care and love everyday.
So you do little things everyday, that would make a difference in those you love. This could be your teacher, your family, your best friends. Listen to them, and tell them you understand, or you are trying to understand. Love is listening skill.
Today I will write about my mother, a soul I tormented as a teenager.
Because I didn't realize she was just a first time mom who was trying to figure out how to be a mother.
I was a critical and harsh child, who can see the world only in black and white.
I am now grown up to understand the world of grays, and many beautiful colors I didn't know exist.
I love you Mother. Even if it's not a mother's day. Even if you are not perfect.
If you are young, and having difficulties.. here is one advice from a grown-up.
You might be sensitive, you might be hurt.
Don't assume other people know how you feel. They are not mind readers. If you feel something, you need to tell others how you feel. This can solve many many problems. You might be embarrassed to tell, but don't be afraid. It's better to tell than not to tell, unless it's someone else's secrets, then you never tell.
Have fun being children.
For a child who couldn't say I love you.... I love you even though you are not perfect.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
