I am relaxing at home with fresh cut flowers to brighten my day (thanks boyfriend!)
I have been trying new cosmetics, so here is some reviews.
First off, sheet mask I tried last night.
Missha Vital Effect Renew Ceramide Sheet Mask, intensive moisturizing care- highly concentrated mulsion type seence sheet mask. Retail $?
I am pretty sure this was a gift from my Japanese girlfriend who went to Korea on vacation. I tried to find it online and it doesn't seem to be available in the US at this time.
Which is too bad, I really liked this mask. Moisturizing without being too sticky, there is a cooling sensation on skin. I would purchase this one.
I use serum twice daily. I have purchased Lancome products in the past, and as a whole it felt too rich and sticky, smells powdery and franklly old-lady-ish. So I have been phasing out Lancome products from my collection, to be replaced with mainly K-Beauty products (that's Korean cosmetics for those who are like... what?)
Then this one came, and it was surprisingly very good. It is unscented, and the serum is relatively thin and non-sticky. It's like a thin gel, but without stickiness, and gets absorbed by skin very quickly. I have been using Estee Lauder's classic Advance Night Repair for years, and I might consider switching to this... that is, if I don't find anything else in the meantime, and I have been purchasing a lot of Korean imports lately. More to come on that later.
VERDICT: BUY-ish!? It is expensive though, and I will do more field research to see if I can find something less expensive before buying this.
This one is not exactly cheap either, but lots of people swears by this and it's one of the bestsellers at L'Occitane. I like L'Occitane, but what bugs me is their sales associates- whenever I visit their store, they are indiffereent, almost always. Now, I live in friendly Portland, so this bugs me quite a LOT.
As to the product itself, this smells similar to their cleansing form - almost fresh cut grass scent, green clean scent, which might not be for everybody. The cream is not too rich and thick and easily melts into your skin, which I liked a lot. I don't like heavy creams. I like this product fine, but I an not in love with this product.
(By the way, L'Occitane is having a Cyber Monday sales on their website still- so if you have a staple, check out their website. )
Speaking of which, both serum and cream I tried are not exactly cheap, but they are good products I would consider buying.
I also liked Missha mask a lot, although I don't seem to be able to find one to purchase, unfortunately...
I don't have a fail product today. YAY!!
