Today is August 23, and a bit early for empties for me - but I feel I have accumulated adequate amount of products this month and feel ready to let go of these empties.
So here I go- it's shorter period and I don't have as many items, and I don't have as many samples either. I have tried to use up or give away one time samples in previous months, so I don't have many more. While I continue to receive samples, I probably have about this amount of items (or less) going forward.
I will mention health related items first. I include them as I feel beauty comes from inside and what you put in your body matters.
I didn't finish these entire contents in one month- some of them took several months to finish.
Vitamin C and omega 3 are staples for me, and if you have seen my previous empties, you will know these are repeat items. Already replaced.
Centrum multigummies was sent to me to be reviewed. Wile it has vitamin A, C, E, and some of the Bs, it doesn't cover whole spectrum- and I found it hard to stop just two.
I bought glucosamine for my joint injury to support anti- inflammation. This was costly and did nothing to ease my pain. Will not repurchase.
Next, candle related items- this is luminessence vanilla scented oil thingy I bought from Dollar Tree. I am only mentioning this because this item didn't smell like anything. A small candle with the same picture of vanilla ice cream smells good and is a much better purchase in my opinion.
This item is not even half used, but I am tossing out because it doesn't do anything for my hair. It smells great, and that's it. I bought it when I was questing for hair serums to calm flyaways- and this was on sale. Case to the point- never buy anything you won't pay full price for.
This setting most from ELF is also not used up- but I really can't tolerate the scent and the spray is also too coarse for me. Giving this up finally.
Lancôme soleil ultra SPF 50. I had this for a long time and I need to get rid of it. It is regular sunscreen- not a bad product but nowadays you can get SPF 50 at a drugstore at a lot less. I wouldn't go back to this.
Two travel sized shampoos I used up. Crabtree and Evelyn is unnotable.
skylake Shampoo was in Mishibox a few month ago, and it has this brown root inside- shampoo was thick honey-like texture, and a little goes a long way. Mishibox told me the scent can be intense, but it didn't bother me, slight herbal scent. I really liked this shampoo and would purchase larger size if I can find it. It's a very unique product.
Pacifica Tuscan blood orange body wash. I am a big fan of Pacifica. It uses natural ingredients and it is based in Portland Oregon, where I live, so it's made locally. I am not a big fan of this scent though, so probably purchase another scent next time.
Two nose packs, both from Memebox- both works well, and I especially like O'Gce (blue one) because of the cooling sensation. It's lovely.
Skin Food Fresh Celery Cleansing Tissue I bought from Memebox for $4. Can't remember if this was on sale or not- it only has 15 sheets, so a bit spendy. It has alcohol in it and dried out my skin. Won't repurchase this.
Face masks. Dewytree's deep detox black mask $3 is from my favorite Memebox, Soothingsista- and it's the best mask I tried- moisturizing yet not sticky, cooling and relaxing. I would buy this again. Q10 one I can't remember where I got- it was okay. Bottom left, the faceshop's sebum control soothing mask sheet is the worst mask I have tried- drying, what?! I am attaching a better mask from the same company, real nature mask series- these are only $1 and decent masks. So buy these instead.
Two foil samples received from Memebox order- Cosrx cream. I preferred aloe Vera, which is my natural preference anyway. Neither stood out enough for me to put them on my list of things to buy in future.
Not entirely empty but I have used this enough- especially given it was too sticky for my liking. ELF lip gross in juiced berry, $1. I liked the color.
Lather ultra mild face wash was in my ipsy bag maybe? It was just okay- yes it was mild, lathered well, paraben free and sulfate free. I didn't like this scent though....
Three items from last year's Memebox, Pore No More, which was also my first Memebox ever after innisfree box was cancelled. Oh those were the days...
I stopped using pore control astringent gel on my face due to alcohol content. I repurpose it as an anti- itch gel (like aloe Vera) and it did decent job at that.
Migabee items were parts of three step systems, and I had gotten rid of hot mask long time ago, but used the peppermint witchhazel mist and cooling mask clean 3 in 1 for the longest time- both are decent products and I liked them.
And this month I have two make up empties too! Both are travel sized, but no matter, here are two of items I have repurchased already- it cosmetics CC+ SPF 50+ in medium. Smelled slightly citrusy and not heavy on my skin despite high SPF. Light coverage because it's CC cream.
Temptu s/b highlighter in champagne shimmer. I hate shiny anything, and hated this at first too- but if you blend smallest amount into your cheeks, it adds beautiful sheen and not really shines, which works for me. I loved the tiny size for traveling, and this lasted me since October of last year. Expensive but you will use this for a long time if you use it sparingly. If you use it for airbrush though... Well, can't help you there.
Well this is what I have in August 2015. If you have empties, let me know as I follow empties obsessively ;-)
