Skincare: I began being more serious about washing my face and applying products afterwards since November last year, only because the mountain of cosmetics I have purchased is threatening me to be buried. I needed to use them up somehow. Then, about in January, I began product testing. Awesome companies such as Radha Beauty, Insta Natural and Valentia sent me their products to try out. Since then, I have been using Vitamin C products (toner, serum, moisturizer) and retinol products (serum and moisturizer). I typically use vitamin C in the morning and retinol in the evening. In addition, I strive to be diligent about wearing sunscreen outside.... or inside. Because I am lazy and I forget. It's easier to use cream with sunscreen in it already than try to remember "uh, am I going to be outside today?" when you are racing off your door. But that's just my lazy self.
I also slap on masks when I can remember or have time, exfoliate when I feel extra dirty.
I listen to my body.
To mitigate some of these issues, I take supplements. It's not good to relay on supplements, your nutrients should come from your food and lifestyle (sleep, exercise, what do you do for fun?). I am trying to improve all these things. But in the meantime, here is what I am taking as of today:
What it does:
Calcium = build bones
Vitamin D = I live in Oregon. Don't see enough sun. Plus my doctor tells me I am V D deficient. Plus it comes with the above pill..... (it supposed to enhance calcium absorption).
What it does: support heart health.
What it does: enhances immune system, antioxident
What it claims to do:reduce tooth decay, staining, gum disease, bad breath, tonsil stones and cancer sores
Hyperbiotics sent me a sample and I am using this up. My boyfriend likes this thing and kinda wish I had more.... or I could buy them on Amazon.
Zenwise offered me this product free of charge for review purposes. I have been taking this for about two weeks, once or twice daily with food.
After two weeks of use, it's hard to say if any of the claims are true. Genetically I have had high cholesterol always, and this has crept up with age and it's now an issue for me... so anything that claims to lower cholesterol, I would give it a try. This one? did anything? Don't know, have to go to a lab for a check up!
Fat burning.... No changes to weight. I didn't gain weight either despite my HORRIBLE stress eating and late night snacking. So maybe it's a good thing.
It gave me a boost of energy sometimes and sometimes it left me jittery a bit, which I didn't like. as long as I have food in my stomach, I felt no changes to my mood.
Interested in purchasing? it's available at Amazon, currently on sale at $23. Link is here.
