What: E.L.F. "Get Gorgeous Collection" kit
So, this is not a subscription box- rather cosmetic bundle ELF sells for $20. I decided to give it a whirl. As always - this is an independent review without monetary compensation from the company being reviewed. I purchased this item myself.
Verdict: there is definitely well worth the value in this package. The main item was the palette, and the next most expensive item was the primer. I am not a fan of a palette and disappointed by the primer. Still, other items in the bag (face wipe, etc) I would use and still come ahead of the price I paid. This one is a win for me.
I am flying to Boston today, and my fall favorite, E.L.F. Lip Gloss is traveling with me!
I bought tons of cosmetics this fall, and this lip gloss is one of my favorite! It's slightly sticky but not so much that it drives me crazy, long lasting and shiny! Good job E.L.F.!
As to the flight itself, it is one of the most beautiful flight ever ever.... From Portland, we could see all the way to Sisters, Mt. Jefferson, and Black Butte in Bend area (about 180 miles away). And eventually beautiful lakes in Minnesota. This flight was amazing!
Disclaimer: This is an independent review. I purchased the below products.
That's it for now from me- Happy Beauty!

So, it has been 10 days since I started subscription box adventure. I have ordered 16 boxes, and received 4 thus far. Good job, you guys!!
I understand that many companies send subscription boxes all at once, once a month, so this is not a truly fair comparison. Also, I am sure distance makes difference, but now I am receiving boxes from east coast. I feel that some companies are more efficient. I do find it interesting that cosmetic companies respond faster than others.
My personal points deducted from the following (somehow all food related, I think):
I do think communication is important and am happy when companies reach out. However, if ill-timed, it can be very annoying. Please don't put the cart before horses. Send the box first if you want to ask for opinions. Send the product before donating money I paid to someone else. I hate to complain, but I am getting hungry and I want my company to provide good customer care, before bragging about what good it does to the world. Please think I am the world, because you don't exist without me. I think it's great you want to do good, but honestly, if I really wanted to donate I can do it my own. That's not my main purpose of subscription. Ultimately companies that care for me and deliver good products will be the ones I will keep on subscribing.
Griping aside, congratulations to the 4 companies who delivered FAST, and Happy Friday!

So, E.L.F. aka EyesLipsFace. I actually never tried this company's products, but their product line is significantly less expensive than others. Ordering from them, it makes me wonder how much really cost to create beauty products. While I have weak knees for top-name brands, I also would like to recognize honest creators who are not ashamed to charge what it costs, be it super cheap or super expensive.
What: e.l.f. Beauty Bundle
As much as I like cosmetics, I really do not wear much make up. I prefer skin care products in general.
While I enjoyed opening this box and definitely think it's worth a try, I discontinued this box because of e.l.f.'s low price point. Rather than receiving random items, one can go ahead and order full size products of desire with e.l.f. without huge damage to the wallet. So, I decided to order a large cosmetic/skin care haul from e.l.f. while waiting for Beauty Bundle monthly subscription (oops) a few days ago. I will post what I get when I get it!
Canceling subscription was easy on their website. There is no point system, or heavy social media involvement... it's a bit no-frills situation, but the savings are passed on to you!
As to this month's box itself, with an exception of few brushes, much of it will be given away as I don't use them much. To e.l.f.... as the theme is "back to beauty school," it might have been really cool to have a video tutorial for people who are new to make up, using items in the box! Think about it :)
If you are interested in e.l.f. products, their website is here. They happen to have a sale today, so hurry! (I reiterate that I am not receiving compensation from e.l.f. Just thought it was cool, if you want to try it. That's all. )
Surprisingly, I have spent more money at e.l.f. and Birchbox than any other thus far. This is my first month trying out boxes, and I would like to find my favorite brand as I know more.
